Colorado has approximately 50 young men and women who were sentenced as
children to life without parole. They desperately need mentors. Some
churches have "adopted" our LWOPS.
They:
--write letters, send birthday cards, keep them connected with the outside
world.
--Send money for education and ordinary needs such as toiletries, extra
food, medical visits, etc. (Remember, the average prisoner makes $12 a
month.)
Cash Donations are desperately needed so we are able to continue our work. Please help and give what you can. Donations can be made safely and securely through PayPal
--email legislators during legislative session in support of positive legislation.
--Make a monthly donation to The Pendulum Foundation, in order to provide education scholarships for those inside.
--Ask local and regional pastors to take a public stand against juvenile incarceration.
--Show the award-winning documentary, Juvies, about California kids in adult prisons, as a fundraising, consciousness-raising event.
--Reach out to victims' families through restorative justice or grief recovery programs.
